Cricketers at Monmouth School for Boys have enjoyed success this summer outside of school, as well as within their age-group teams, reports Master in Charge of Cricket, Mr Callum Bassett-Jones.
Year 13 students Cian and Henry have represented Wales Under-18s, with Henry also gaining honours for the Glamorgan Academy, Wales Minor Counties and Glamorgan 2nd XI.
Last summer, Henry played for the West of England at under-18 level in the Super Fours.
Year 12 students Arthur, Rohan and Noah have also represented Wales Under-18s.
Year 9 trio Jacob, Olly and Thomas have played for Wales Under-14s, with Year 10 students John and Tom representing Wales Under-15s and under-16s. John has also played for the Glamorgan Academy side on multiple occasions, along with Year 11 student Zac, who has also represented Wales Under-16s and under-18s.
Year 8 quartet Olly, Tom, Toby and Rafe have represented Wales Under-13s this summer.
Outside of Wales, Year 13 student Owen has represented Gloucestershire Under-18s, while Year 12 boys Will, Tom and Monty have played for Herefordshire.
In addition, a further 30 boys from across the school age-groups have represented local, regional and district teams.
“Well done to all the pupils who continue to work hard to improve in all areas of their cricket for school, club and representative sides,” said Mr Bassett-Jones.
