Boarding Overview

Ultra-modern, purpose-built facilities nestle alongside beautifully restored listed buildings, providing a stimulating environment where pupils from Year 3 and up can focus on their academic goals, feed their personal interests and belong to a wider community.

Each house has a Housemaster, Matron, and a team of house tutors. Many of the house staff live there with their families, often with young children and pets.

Boys and girls enjoy weekend excursions which cater to a wide range of interests. Past trips have included Harry Potter World, Alton Towers and Cardiff International Pool. Boarders can also participate in the Boarders’ Forum and the Food Forum to have their say on the day-to-day running of boarding life.

Boarding can be full, weekly or on a more flexible basis, to work around your family commitments.

Boarding transition

The transition from junior to senior boarding is eased by positive and strong links between all boarding houses. Girls and boys enjoy mealtimes with the boarders from their respective senior schools and regular visits ensure that friendships flow seamlessly across all ages.
