Critically engage with real world issues and places

Our Geography A level course has a contemporary issues-based approach with an emphasis on geo-political issues linked to global trade, political institutions and global environmental issues associated with energy and water resources. We want to create an environment where you can engage critically with real-world issues and places, while also learning a wide range of geographical skills and fieldwork.

Being a social science, Geography has links with many subjects including: Biology, Business, Chemistry, Economics, Ethics, History and Mathematics. There has never been a more important time to study Geography, with growing interest in issues such as resource use, climate change, migration and environmental degradation.

Graduates of our Geography A level course leave with an excellent foundation for a wide range of university courses and/or employment opportunities. The course will equip you with a number of transferable skills, such as problem-solving, decision making and report writing, meaning that you will graduate with essential skills for the modern workplace.
